Hello! I'm Sam Beutelschies, a fourth-year graphic design major at California College of the Arts, with a double minor in Writing & Literature and Ecological Practices. I specialize in design systems, branding, motion graphics, photography, and experiential design.
Aside from design, I’m a writer at heart, and my love for creating worlds, histories, and stories informs my design process heavily. I try to uncover the poetics of a project and thread a story through my art to create projects that are experimental, narrative, emotive, and thematic by nature. Design is not only aesthetic, it’s an experience, and beneath each project is a perspective depth that is bespoke to the topic and the medium.
Sustainability is also very important to me, which I also like to incorporate into my artistry; I like to create with recycled or reused materials and promote climate consciousness in what I make. I'm very passionate about radical hope, as well as creating a better world for everyone on our planet, and I believe that design has the capacity for revolution. Art has and will always continue to change the world!
